RequirementsTwo contrasting pieces for solo piano from different eras of Western classical music including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Twentieth Century must be performed memorized. Original compositions and improvisations are not permitted. Repeats may be played at the discretion of the performer, but are not required. In regions with a high volume of participants, judges may need to cut performances off during the audition. Division I: Ages 9 and under (max 8 minutes).

1st Prize: Oleksandr Poliykov, born in Kiev Ukraine in 1988, resides in Boston, MA. Studies with Michael Lewin at the the Boston Conservatory. Has performed with many orchestras in Europe, won Grand Prize in a piano competition in Lonigo Italy in 2005, 3rd prize at the Vladimir Horowitz International Piano Compeitition in Ukraine (2007). 2016 Young Artist Competitions. Felix won a prize in last year's competition and performs with the Worcester and Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, taken the 2nd Seven Hills Concerto Competition Prize, and participated in many Central District and Massachusetts All-State concert bands and orchestras.
